Getting Started

Creating an account is free and takes less than 60 seconds. Click Join Free on the homepage, enter your first name, age, email address, and a password. You'll receive a confirmation email — click the link inside to verify your address and activate your profile.

Yes — creating a profile, browsing matches, and receiving messages is completely free. We also offer optional premium plans that unlock features like unlimited messaging, advanced search filters, and profile boosts. You can explore the platform fully before deciding whether to upgrade.

hey30plus is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We verify ages during registration and take any underage access seriously. If you believe a minor has created an account, please report it immediately.

After signing in, go to your profile page and click "Edit Profile." From there you can upload up to 9 photos from your device. We recommend:

  • A clear, recent headshot as your main photo
  • Photos that show your personality and interests
  • Images taken in good lighting

Photos go through a quick review before appearing publicly. See our photo guidelines for full details.

Profile verification confirms you are a real person by matching a live selfie to your profile photos. Once verified, a blue checkmark appears on your profile — this tells other members you're genuine. Verification is optional but strongly recommended, as verified profiles receive significantly more engagement.

Account Settings

On the login page, click "Forgot password?" and enter your registered email address. You'll receive a reset link within a few minutes. If you don't see it, check your spam folder. The link expires after 1 hour for security.

Go to Settings → Account → Email address. Enter your new email and confirm your current password. A verification link will be sent to your new address — click it to confirm the change. Your old email remains active until verified.

Go to Settings → Privacy → Profile Visibility and set it to "Hidden." Your profile won't appear in searches or match suggestions while hidden, but existing conversations remain accessible. You can re-enable visibility at any time.

Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. You'll be asked to confirm and provide a reason (optional). Deletion is permanent — your profile, photos, and messages are removed within 30 days. If you have an active paid plan, cancel it first to avoid future charges.

Matches & Chat

Our algorithm considers several factors to suggest compatible matches:

  • Your stated preferences (age range, location, interests)
  • Profile completeness and activity level
  • Mutual engagement signals (who you interact with)
  • Compatibility scores based on profile answers

The more complete and active your profile, the better your matches will be. We improve suggestions over time based on your interactions.

A few things to check:

  • Complete your profile — profiles with a bio and at least 3 photos get 4× more matches.
  • Widen your distance and age range in your preferences.
  • Get verified — verified profiles are shown more prominently.
  • Be active — logging in and engaging regularly boosts your visibility.

Yes. Open the conversation, tap the three-dot menu (⋯) in the top right corner, and select "Unmatch." The match and all messages are removed for both parties. This action cannot be undone.

Visit the person's profile and tap the three-dot menu (⋯), then select "Block." Blocking prevents them from seeing your profile, messaging you, or appearing in your matches. They are not notified when you block them.

If the person has behaved inappropriately, please also submit a report so our Trust & Safety team can review the account.

Privacy & Safety

By default your profile is visible to all logged-in hey30plus members. Your exact location is never shown — only your city/region. You can also restrict visibility using Settings → Privacy → Profile Visibility to control who sees you.

No. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We use data only to operate and improve the Service. For full details, read our Privacy Policy.

You have the right to request a copy of all personal data we hold about you. Email privacy@hey30plus.com with the subject "Data Access Request." We will respond within 30 days with a downloadable file.

Do not send any money. If someone has asked you for money, gift cards, or financial information, it is almost certainly a scam.

  • Block and report the profile immediately.
  • Do not click any links they sent you.
  • Email our Trust & Safety team at safety@hey30plus.com with details.
  • If you've already sent money, contact your bank and file a report with your local police.

Billing & Plans

Go to Settings → Billing → Manage Subscription and click "Cancel Plan." Your premium features remain active until the end of your current billing period. You won't be charged again after cancellation.

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on all new premium subscriptions if you're not satisfied. Contact billing@hey30plus.com within 7 days of purchase. Renewals and partial months are generally non-refundable, but we review requests on a case-by-case basis.

Go to Settings → Billing → Payment History to download PDF invoices for all past transactions. If you need a custom invoice format for business purposes, email billing@hey30plus.com.

Technical Issues

Try these steps in order:

  • Refresh the page or force-close and reopen the app.
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies.
  • Check your internet connection.
  • Try a different browser or device.
  • Disable any browser extensions (ad blockers can interfere).

If problems persist, email support@hey30plus.com with your browser version and a description of what's happening.

First check your spam or junk folder and mark any hey30plus emails as "Not Spam." Then:

  • Verify your email address is confirmed in Settings → Account.
  • Check your notification preferences in Settings → Notifications.
  • Add noreply@hey30plus.com to your email contacts/whitelist.
